Work Romance

Ok so I'm new here but I have a confession to make.....I'm in love with a married man and he is in love with me (so he says)....eeeek!!! I know I know, I would never do anything because I don't want to be one of those women who breaks up a marriage. But I see him 5 days a week and it is so comfortable to just be me around him and we talk about everything, from his terrible marriage to my relationship issues. But how do you fall un-inlove with someone? Especially someone who makes you smile all of the time and someone who makes you a bit hot under the collar everytime you walk near him......

But I have thought to myself, when did this all get so complicated. When did the whole 'bonk you on the head and drag to his cave' disappear? I watch the movies and they make it look so easy. They meet, fall in love, have an argument, resolve the argument and then have some good make up sex. Is it possible to have a relationship like that? Where is my scantily clad Channing Tatum or Ryan Gosling? Wait, he is walking around with a ring on his finger!!!

Ditch the romance it will never work! A married man never leaves his wife for an office romance....save your heart and move on!!

I honestly know here you are coming from and how you feel, I was in exactly the same position. But honestly it is a bad idea to go there, for your own sanity. If/when he leaves his wife then go for it but honestly save yourself the heart ache.

even if he has a bad relationship with his wife its their business and they need to resolve it on their own. If he ends it and then comes to you after a suitable amount of time, whatever. But until that happens you cant be sure of his intentions and it would be unfair on his wife.

never ever be involved in an office romance (worst ..with married men)..when you break up, things are gonna get ugly !

Movies only last 120 minutes, which is probably all you're going to get from this guy because he's married. If the temptation is that uncontrollable, find a new job. Or you could remind him that he should be sharing his relationship problems, with his wife, the person he's having a relationship with and not you, his co worker. He's not in love with you, he's saying it because he wants something that his wife isn't giving him and he doesn't have the balls to man up and ask her why. If he's that much of a coward to his wife, then you can imagine how he's going to treat you when he gets what he wants. And both you and his wife deserve someone better.

You are definitely in a tough situation. I had a friend exactly like that. He was in love with a married woman, and the marriage broke up cause the husband found out what the wife was doing. My friend and the lady went out for about 6 months, but they ended up breaking up and having no contact with each other. He now feels extremely guilty about breaking up a marriage, and he doesn't ever want to be in that position again. It is something that you really have to think about, and whether you can live the consequences if the marriage does break up, so you can be together. Good luck!
