What il be wearing this summer!
I came to Australia in June, convinced that it would be red hot everyday and I could waltz around in my teeny weenie bikini pretending i was on “Home and Away” and it wasnt until last month i got my I’m in Australia Baby” bikini snap for Facebook! Now summer is finally here and I am soo excited! As its my first summer christmas ive been so excited at the propect of wearing summer clothes on Bondi beach at christmas and im pleased to say that the looks this summer are great fun! The amount of colour going on across the highstreet and the catwalks is phenomonal. When everyone picks up on these gorgeous new trends it will look like there are tropical birds fluttering around the grey sreets of the city!
Colour blocking has made a return again and its one of my favouites. Colour blocking, is fun, funky, and shows off the fun and daring in us all! its also a great way to flaunt the gorgeous female shape. Pairing high waisted shorts with camis, pencil skirts with tees, oversized tops with leggings, theres a way to go what makes every shape look fabulous! the trick is make sure that the bottom and top are in crazily contrasting colours, and go for colours with as much statement as possible! think of the highlighters you used at school or those Uv bracelets you use at new year! Ok so, not everyone will suit neon green but c'mon theres sooooo many colours out there, pink, purple, blue! Even just teaming a incredibly bright neon top with a pair of black leggings is enough to draw attention when you walk down the street!
What great as well is this look can take you from the office to the party, at work just one piece of colour such as a bright neon shirt or tailored topcan look great with a black pencil skirt, or tights, and if your not brave enough dont forget accessories, a grils best friend! a bright belt, jewellery, sunnies, or a bag is a great way to get this look if you need to be dressed more toned down during the day! with this look you can also get away with the craziest shoes! think Spice Girl style platforms. Just maybe take a pair of thongs if your planning on having more than 2 vodka cranberry sodas!
So for my first Australian christmas in the sun il be partying in the brightest, funkiest clothes, and the highest platforms i can find with of course a pair of flats for the end of a crazy day and night of party madness!
