Home-made vs. store-bought

Home-made vs. store-bought

With the Christmas season comes festive outfits, too much delicious food, a general holiday-cheer and the unavoidable stress of finding the perfect gift.

I for one, pride myself on my gift-giving abilities. To be completely honest, I prefer giving gifts to getting them! But this year I have been contemplating trying my hand at some home-made gifts – not for any financial reasons, really just to try to bring a little more heart to the occasion.

My ideas so far include: gift-baskets full of home-made holiday-themed treats (Christmas cookies, red and green choc truffles included!), personalised photo books which range from ancient family photos to holiday pics from 2011, and a bird-feeder (although I admit this one may require some outside assistance).

So tell me girls, what do you think? Would you prefer a gift-card to your fave store or a basket full of home-made goodies?
