New Year’s Resolutions – Bring on 2012
After a turbulent but ultimately amazing 2011 I have decided to bring in the New Year prepared and ready with a few carefully selected traditional New Year’s resolutions. And this year I am determined to tick them all off.
- Get fit and fabulous
A slight deviation from the standard “lose weight” that all ladies are fond of including in their NYR list. This year, however, I’d like to move away from trying to look thin and hungry and focus instead on getting fit and fab!
- Update my CV
With a new role under my belt (Cosmo U Ambassador) I think it’s time to update the CV and cut away the fat (in this case work that is unnecessary or irrelevant to the position for which I’m applying) to leave it looking fresh and leave me looking indispensable.
- Clean-out my wardrobe/Donate old clothes
This one is a two-parter. First, I plan to spend a WHOLE WEEKEND cleaning out everything in my wardrobe that a) doesn’t fit or b) I haven’t worn in 12 months (I was going to say six but I’m feeling lenient).
Anything that doesn’t make the cut will be donated to charity and everything that remains will be reorganised beautifully. Aaaah. Just writing about it makes me feel like I’m halfway there.
- Stay happy.
2011 had everything from health problems to a break-up, so 2012 is all about staying happy! This will be achieved through the following ways:
- Regular gym sessions (obviously links back to Resolution #1)
- Retail therapy
- Holiday planning
- Dates with cute boys
I’m keeping my list to four good, solid points this year I think – unless you can think of a good ones I’ve forgotten?! What are your main resolutions this year… or have you decided not to make any at all?
