Stephanie + Matt

This dreamy garden wedding was filled with personal touches, laughter and a dance party to remember!

There wasn’t a cloud in sight as Stephanie woke up on the morning of her wedding day. After spending the morning enjoying champagne with her bridesmaids and prepping for the big day it was time to get married. As she arrived at the aisle, Stephanie could no longer hold back her excitement and her walk down the aisle turned into a run – cute! After the emotional garden ceremony it was on to the reception, where the happy couple danced the night away with their closest family and friends!

Photographer: Elle Alihos at Bohemian Prints (bohemianprints.com). “Her ability to capture our wedding was incredible and we are both so glad she was a part of our day, capturing the moments we shared together and with our friends.

Dress & Veil: One Day Bridal (onedaybridal.com.au).
“As soon as I tried it on, I knew it was perfect and exactly what I had been searching for. I loved the amazing layer of tulle. It was incredible and made for amazing photographs!”

"My veil was so long and billowy, which was my favourite part!"

Jewellery: Damselfly earrings from One Day Bridal (onedaybridal.com.au), Necklace from Krystle Knight (krystleknightjewellery.com), Ring from Samantha Wills (samanthawills.com). "I’m not a big jewellery person and really wanted fine, delicate jewellery for the day."

Hair & makeup: Makeup by Kelly McKinlay (kellymckinlaymakeup.com) and hair by The Rumours are True (therumoursaretrue.com). “Kelly is actually Matt’s cousin and had done my make up for our engagement party too.”

Bridesmaid dresses: (from left to right) Asos from Ebay (ebay.com.au), Shieke (sheike.com.au), Seduce (seduce.com.au) and Rodeo Show (rodeoshow.com.au). "I am not a traditional girl so when it came time to choose the bridesmaid’s dresses, I knew I wanted different colours, designs and necklines to make sure each of my friends was wearing a dress that suited them and they liked. We even ended up buying a second dress for one of my ladies as we found out she was pregnant and her bump wouldn’t fit into the dress! It was such an exciting time!"

Grooms suit & accessories: Ferrari formalwear ferrariformal.com.au.

Stationery: Jen Simpson Design (jensimpsondesign.com). “I found a design on Etsy and thought they tied in perfectly with the flowers I was planning on having in my bouquet.”

Ceremony: Royal Botanic Gardens (rbg.vic.gov.au). "I had always dreamed of a garden wedding, even though my hubby wanted to say ‘I do’ on the beach. After researching venues and looking at wineries, we finally agreed on the Royal Botanic Gardens. I loved the huge tree we used as our alter. The greenery of the lawn and surrounding plants set such a beautiful backdrop for us to say our vows.”

Celebrant: Robyn Hirst (familyoccasions.com.au). “A chance reconnection with a primary school teacher, saw a lovely woman I’ve known for almost 20 years marry myself and the love of my life.”

Cake: Creative hunger (creativehunger.com.au). “It was a coconut and lime semi-naked cake and tasted amazing!"

Entertainment: The Baker Boys Band (bakerboysband.com.au).
“The band were super keen to get as much information about us as a couple and our taste in music, and that really helped set the mood for the reception. We were able to leave a lot of the song choices up to the band as they scoped out the vibe from our guests. We danced all night long with their choices.”

Reception & catering: The Terrace (terracereception.com.au). “ It was bright, open and had a great outdoor terrace for our guests to enjoy. The best dish of the night was the chocolate platter!"

Decorations: Mary Mary Studio (marymary.com.au).

Favours: Sweet Scoops (facebook.com/Brookesfarmhousesweets/). “Matt and I loved that we were able to personalise our favours and also have the most delicious cookies as part of our wedding. They were a bit cheeky, just like Matt and I, as our initials were ‘S&M’.”
