Wedding styling quick fixes

These simple, foolproof styling ideas will set a beautiful atmosphere for your celebration.

Black tie Create an elegant ambience with a simple palette of black and white. Black tablecloths or lace runners on white look stunning, and silver candelabras on mirrored bases make for beautiful centrepieces. Add cut-crystal vases filled with white roses and your look is complete. Contact Romeo’s Chair Event Stylists (romeoschair.com.au) for a professional finish.

Floral inspired Freshly picked garden flowers – think fluffy hydrangeas, roses and dahlias – look gorgeous loosely placed in water-filled tea pots and glass vases. Fill floral-print teacups with pretty cupcakes or macarons at each place setting as yummy favours, and string up glass jars with a mix of flowers or tea lights from ceiling beams or tree branches.

Beach At a breathtaking seaside setting, minimal decorations are best. Place pillar candles with a little sand in hurricane shades around the venue, surrounded by seashells and dried starfish, and lay some white parasols around the place – check out Pink Frosting (pinkfrosting.com.au) for beautiful props.

Vintage For unique centrepieces, create stacks of well-loved books and tie them up with brown string or black grosgrain ribbon. Top with loose bunches of wild flowers and surround with tea lights. And why not use old wooden Scrabble tiles instead of place cards or table names? This look works really cool set in venues such as an old town hall library or at a garden wedding.
