Alex Nation moves on from Richie Strahan… with a woman?

There’s a pattern forming with Richie’s exes.

A bit of majorly unexpected Bachelor news this morning has reached our feeds: Apparently, the winner of The Bachelor Australia 2016, Alex Nation, has moved on from Richie Strahan and is now dating a woman.

Rumours have been floating around for the past six months that Alex and Richie had split, and that they were faking being together at their last public event: the Logies in April this year.

However, we were certainly not expecting Alex’s new flame to be this!

The mum-of-one has been paired with Maegan Luxa — they’re on the same AFL team. New Idea reports that the two have been together for around a month or so, and are quite open with their relationship, with Maegan even meeting Alex's son, Elijah — something that took months for Richie to do.

“They are now inseparable, spending very few nights apart, but it was all a bit of a shock,” a ‘friend’ of Alex’s told New Idea.

Based off pictures published by the magazine, the two look very happy together.

Richie, apparently, has no idea that Alex has moved on with Maegan, but it will no doubt be a sting after confessing his love for her on national television, AND because this isn’t the first time Richie has been left for another woman…

You may remember Megan Marx and Tiffany Scanlon from his season of The Bachelor Australia, who famously went on to start a relationship together after the show.

Alex supposedly doesn’t want to the label the relationship, or herself, for now, with her ‘friend’ explaining: “Right now she is not giving this or herself any sort of label such as being gay or bisexual. She does not see the need to categorise it that way.”

While Alex might not want to label herself, or be super public about her relationship, others do, and deserve the right to do all the same things as a heterosexual couple. Which is why (if you haven’t already) you need to make sure you are ready for the same-sex marriage postal vote happening soon. Confused as to what you need to sort? Don’t worry, just check out this handy post of how-tos.
