Dipped Brows: The brow trend you can actually wear in public

Omg these are perfect for festival season(!!!)

OK, OK, I admit: These eyebrow "trends" have gotten a little out of hand. They require mad makeup skills and make for an eye(brow)-catching Instagram, but some of them are less than practical. However, if you want to jump in on the brow trend but are looking for something a little more subtle, "dipped brows," as they've been dubbed by Allure, might be the look for you.

Makeup artist Bea Sweet created the cool look for twin sisters and DJ duo Simi and Haze Khadra for a London Fashion Week event in February. To get the look, she painted the tails of their brows hot pink and black, leaving the beginning of their arches with their natural eyebrow shade.

"The reason why dipped eyebrows work is everything else is kept minimal," Sweet said in an interview with Allure. "Skin is even and matte, we haven't over-contoured, there aren't any false eyelashes, and there aren't any distractions happening on the face." However, for a bolder look, you can match your lips to your brow color, as seen in the example above.

A super-easy way to DIY the look at-home? Fill in the tail ends of each brow with a colorful liner of your choice. You can even coat a spoolie with colorful brow mascara and brush it through your brows for a cool effect.

Basically, this brow trend is one of the only wearable looks thus far that you might actually feel okay stepping out in. Plus, its fun, playful, colorful options make it perfect for festival season, which, btw, is so close you can almost taste it. Oh, and the best part? You can wash the color right off for easy removal, so you don't need to commit to the look by bleaching your brows and then using semi-permanent dye.
