A complete timeline of Jeffree Star’s beauty feuds

The limit of Twitter wars does not exist.

Makeup mogul Jeffree Star has ruffled a few feathers in his time. From publicly dissing celebs to creating controversial ad campaigns, he doesn't hold back.

In August, Star opened up about his public fall outs in the final episode of Shane Dawson's The Secret World of Jeffree Star five-part YouTube documentary, saying he was a "damaged person" and has trouble making friends and trusting people in the beauty industry.

So just how many fights and feuds does it take for one internet star to confess such vulnerability? Here, we deep dive into every beauty feud Jeffree has engaged in.

Grab a cuppa and settle in — this will take a while.

April 2016: Kylie Jenner

Let's go back to 2016, when Star, who had already made a name for himself by shamelessly sharing his unfiltered opinions, posted a photo of a defective Kylie Cosmetics lip brush, calling it "unacceptable".

Kylie wasn't fazed by the tweet, with her brand announcing they would be changing their applicator design.

That didn't stop Star — in May 2017, he headed in for round two, jumping the gun by announcing Kylie's new velvet lipsticks before the reality TV star could do so herself.

Again, Ky wasn't fazed, responding to his tweet saying, "Yummy" accompanied by a love heart eyes emoji. Seriously, could she be any more chill? We want to be friends with this girl, STAT.

Jeffree, on the other hand, did not. In December 2017, he slammed her cosmetics line AGAIN, this time sharing his disgust at the company's exuberant price point for a makeup brush set.

Then, he claimed the company had copied his own lipstick tubes. The tweet, which was later deleted, got pretty nasty.

Like Mean Girls' Gretchen Wieners, Kylie Jenner had cracked. She removed Jeffree from the official Kylie Cosmetics press list in February 2018.

It looks like the dust still hasn't settled on this feud. Star included Jenner in a shade video titled 'Full Face of Brands That Hate Me', posted in July 2018. What a whirlwind.

May 2016: Makeupshayla

In this feud, Star casually threatens beauty Youtuber Makeupshayla. As you do.

For context, let's go back to the start. The pair had become embroiled in a Twitter war after Star accused Shayla of telling another influencer she had a "disproportioned face". After some back and forth, Star tweeted, "All these Instagram girls are all talk, I'll actually bear you to the fucking ground and mean it."

July 2016: Kat Von D

Star's feud with Kat Von D is his most notorious. It all began when Von D discovered that her friend, an artist named BJ, hadn't been paid for work he'd done for Star Cosmetics.

In a video posted to her Youtube channel, Von D claimed that quizzed Star about the payment. Apparently, Star responded by telling her to go f*ck herself and then blocked her number.

Not long after, Von D posted a picture of Star to Twitter with a 'no entry' symbol plastered over his face — she meant serious business.

Star was quick to hit back with a tweet saying, "She never supported me or my brand and got distant when I launched mine".

After some back and forth bickering, we're still not sure if BJ was paid or not.

April 2017: Too Faced

Following a collaboration between Star's pal Nikkie Tutorials and Too Faced, Star made a bold accusation against the company's owner, Jerrod Blandino, claiming in a tweet that the company had underpaid her.

Blandino then posted an Instagram image with the hashtag #ThereArentUnicornsInTheAmazon, which many took as a dig at rival company Tarte's Amazonian clay products. Safe to say Star flipped his sh*t; he shared a series of sassy Tweets aimed at Blandino.

August 2017: Kim Kardashian

Ahead of the highly anticipated release of Kim Kardashian's beauty powder contour kits, the beauty world frothed over a Snapchat video where Kim showed off the swatches.

Star shared his thoughts via Twitter, writing "Umm... Kim what is going on with those new swatches?? Looks like chalk."

Kimmy K's fans were quick to jump to her defense. Star quickly backtracked, saying: "I fucking love @KimKardashian and was giving her shit earlier because I didn't like how she swatched her powders! Doesn't mean it's bad."

Kim was an absolute trooper and told her fans to lay off him on Snapchat.

That went from 100 to 0 real quick.

October 2017: Jacyln Hill

In October last year, Star shared a brutal post on Twitter, saying he had "unfollowed / blocked all the fake pieces of sh*t in the beauty community."

One of the biggest names he chose to purge (his words, not ours) was beauty Youtuber Jaclyn Hill. It's understood the beef between the two came after Jaclyn had drunkenly Snapchatted Kathleen Lights using a racial slur. Star responded with subtle, indirect dig: "If you ask someone not to post something and they still do... What are the intentions?"

Jaclyn defended herself in response saying, "I was drunk & continuously recording & so focused on Kathleen's hilarious reaction to the video game"

Star also unfollowed former pals Nikita Dragun and Gabriel Zamora. While nothing was ever publically said between the trio, they've never been seen together since.

November 2017: Laura Lee

The feuds between these two go back to November 2017 when Star posted a cryptic tweet about an ex-best friend:

Further fuelling the fire, Star elaborated with the following tweets:

While there was some initial confusion as to who Star was referring to, he eventually confirmed it was Laura after a fan left a comment on Instagram saying, "I hope it isn't Laura [Lee]," to which Star replied, "You know nothing about her personally. Her soul is pure evil."

It's still unclear what led to the bad blood between Laura and Jeffree, but that's not for fans lack of trying to find out why.

Die-hard Jeffree fans recently brought a racist tweet from 2012 (now deleted) to the public's attention where Lee said: "Tip for all black people if you pull ur pants up you can run from the police faster.."

Due to widespread upset at the slur, Laura issued a public apology via Youtube.

August 2018: He remains at large

That brings us to today, where Star is still causing a stir in the beauty community. In Star's previously mentioned Youtube video titled 'Full Face of Brands That Hate Me', he delivered a fairly solid message about where he stands with his beauty foes.

Notably, he referenced his feud with Kat Von D: "Before any of you try to chime in and if anyone is here that is a Kat Von D fan, let me just remind you of one thing. I was her friend for ten years, you've never met her. So do I know the real tea? Of course I do."

The lesson here? Just try not to p*ss off Jeffree Star, otherwise you'll be hearing about it for years to come.
