The pressure to look good on TV is real but Love Island's Erin Barnett took things to a whole other level before appearing on the reality dating show.
By her own admission, the 23-year-old Melbourne nurse went on a drastic diet and spent $10,000 on plastic surgery in order to look good in a tiny swimsuit.
Which, by the way, she does. Evidence:
In an exclusive interview with OK! Magazine, Erin said she was thrilled with her decision to go under the knife.
"I'm a 10/10 now," Erin said. "I'm so happy with my boobs – I got them done in August last year. I paid for them. My boobs were $8000."
In fact, she could even see herself going bigger.
"I was about a B cup and now I'm a double D. I'd like to go to another cup bigger, but then I wouldn't be able to stand up," she said.
On top of breast enlargement, Erin had her lips done twice at $800 a pop, bringing the grand total to around $10,000 ... and counting.
"Speak to me in a year and I'll have spent a million dollars on work. I will!" she said.
The blonde also had some concerning things to say about her diet and exercise plan before jetting out to Spain.
"I've just been starving myself, not eating, then binge eating, then starving. I can't eat healthy, it's too much effort," she told OK!.
"Thank god I've lost 5kg, so I'm down to 49kg. It's all about the bikini on this show and, in all honesty, I don't know how people diet."
While a Nine spokesperson later clarified Erin's comments were made in jest, it was a bit of a red flag and we hope the show's producers have a doctor and dietitian on hand to help Erin take care of herself while filming.
Erin isn't the only islander who's been open about undergoing cosmetic procedures.
Tayla Damir has said having lip fillers "saved her life".
"I'm very honest," she said. "I had uneven lips - not now because of the filler. I'm open to that and I'm happy for it to be written about."
Cheers to ladies doing whatever the f*ck they want to do with their bods in 2018.
