The real reason behind Kourtney Kardashian and Younes Bendjima's break-up

She never wanted it to end.

News of Kourtney Kardashian's and Younes Bemdjima's break up came as a huge shock to fans last week — but apparently no one was more shook than Kourt herself, who reportedly never wanted things to end.

The 39-year-old mum-of-three and 25-year-old model had been dating for just over two years before supposed cracks started to appear in their relationship.

"As soon as their long European vacation was over, they started having problems," a source close to the couple told PEOPLE.

Before their holiday, the couple were in a long-distance relationship, with Kourtney flying to Paris to see her Younes, and Younes heading to Calabasas to spend time with Kourt.

However, when Younes finally made the move to LA, things fell apart. And then of course ~those~ semi-suss photos of Younes frolicking with a mystery woman on the beach surfaced...

Younes has spoken out about the pictures and both he and the mystery woman (who we now know to be Jordan Ozuna) have claimed that nothing romantic went on between them.

Since their split was confirmed, both followers of Kourtney and the Kardashian family in tow have been pining for a reunion between her and her ex-boyfriend, Scott Disick.

Despite the couple's tumultuous past, and Scott's struggles with alcohol and sex addiction, Scott has become a key part of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians fam — so it's no surprise that fans want them to give it another go.

However, just last weekend both Khloé and Kim Snapchatted a video of Kourtney and Scott sitting together at Kylie's 21st birthday party, captioning the vid with, "A girl can dream".

Both Kourtney and Scott have explicitly said they will never get back together, but Scott did reveal in the premiere episode of KUWTK season 15 that he and Kourtney have a bizarre pact that promises if they are both single at 40, they'll give it another go.

Not to suggest anything, but Kourtney is 39 years old right now...

Now watch Scott Disick state that he'll always love Kourtney Kardashian:
