As the world watched Donald Trump’s inauguration over the weekend, celebrities responded to the political event in a variety of ways.
Kristen Stewart did the latter.
ICYMI, back in 2012, Kristen and Robert Pattinson were in the middle of splitting up amidst those Snow White director cheating rumours when, out of nowhere, Donald Trump (of all people) decided to weigh in on the matter.
Over four years later and Kristen has finally offered up her thoughts on the matter and she still doesn't know why he got involved.
"He was mad at me a couple years ago, really obsessed with me a couple years ago, which is fucking crazy ... I can't even understand it,” she told Variety.
She recalls thinking, “I literally cannot even understand it. It's such a far-out concept that I don’t want to believe that actually is happening. It's insane."
Remember, in 2012 Trump was best known for his role on The Apprentice rather than as President.
"At that point, he was just, like, a reality star. I had no reference. It wasn’t like really a thing. But in retrospect, somebody reminded me of that and I was like, 'Oh my gosh, you’re right!' He's probably, like, going to tweet about this."
In short, K-Stew was a little creeped out by the whole thing and had a legit Regina George moment IRL.
As for the women’s march? Well, Kris was unfortunately out of town for the event but planned on making alternative arrangements.
“I was really disappointed that I couldn’t be in D.C. for the march, and I was like, I’m sure somebody is going to be doing something here and they are and I’m really thankful for that,” she said.
