Ryan From 'Married At First Sight' Has Announced His First Comedy Tour

We're praying that Dean is a punchline.

Ryan Gallagher, everyone's favourite jilted lover from the last season of Married At First Sight, has re-invented himself as a stand-up comedian.

While most former reality TV stars chase Instagram fame and charcoal toothpaste ambassador roles, old mate has landed himself his own comedy tour which will kick off in Sydney on May 11 before taking him to Brisbane, Adelaide and his home town of Melbourne.

This latest venture of the tradie-turned-TV star comes as no surprise.

After being jilted by Davina and dogged by Dean on national television thanks to MAFS, Ryan was invited to take part in a special showcase at Melbourne comedy cornerstone, The Yarraville Club, to celebrate the venue's fifth birthday a few weeks ago. From all reports he killed it while performing alongside legit comedians who have been honing their craft for years like Becky Lucas, Lawrence Mooney and Tony Martin.

"I was shitting myself but luckily, somehow, after lots of preparation, it became the greatest night of my life," he said.

According to a media release circulated on Thursday by his people: "Ryan Gallagher is set to bring his extraordinary story of life before, during and after MAFS to stages across the nation. Expect big laughs, sensational secrets, and hard-fought insights on how to handle occasionally feeling alone."

If you want to experience 75-minutes of his comedic content and then grab a selfie, tickets are available now via his Facebook page.
