We’d go as far as saying Zac Efron is one of the most eligible guys in the world right now. Sure, he can be a bit of a bro but seriously, Zac is (and always has been) a god among men.
But he’s just gone and made himself even more unattainable. Sadface.
During an interview with The Times he said he’ll ‘never’ date because it’s impossible for him to meet someone who doesn’t have any preconceived notions.
"Dating is something I'll never be able to do," he said. "As in the dictionary definition of dating, because one way or another I've impacted that person's life and they'll soon realise it."
"A date has to be very long to dispel whatever people think about me."
We would be up for going on a very, VERY long date with ya, Zac. And totes don’t have any preconceived notions. Oh wait, we just called him a ‘bro’, didn’t we? DAMN IT. So maybe the man has a point?
And this really will break your heart. Zac doesn’t even have access to his social media because he felt it heightened his depression:
"I lost my mind because of the Internet. I'd read 30 positive things and one bad thing, then I'd harbor that bad thing. It drove me crazy."
Seriously, can the internet just collectively give him a big squeeze right now. This is so sad!
Zac also said some positive things about his acting: “I love acting, I study it every night—Enter the Dragon, Se7en. It's been a struggle. From day one, I wanted to do authentic work. It wasn't about money. It wasn't about fame. It wasn't about Instagram."
And, to warm your cockles after some pretty sad quotes, here’s what he had to say about his new buddy Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson:
"He wants to make an impact beyond acting. He could run for president. F--k it, he'd be better than anyone at this point...I'm realising the value of film."
We are so keen for Baywatch we can’t even tell you…
