What Tyra Banks says she'd do differently about her iconic "I Was Rooting For You" meltdown

The supermodel says she's not smizing about the way she lost her sh*t now.

It's been viewed over five million times on YouTube; that very memorable clip of Tyra Banks losing her absolute shit at America's Next Top Model hopeful Tiffany Richardson on cycle three of the show.

"I have never in my life yelled at a girl like this," Tyra screamed when Tiffany seemed all apathetic about her elimination. "When my mother yells like this, it's because she loves me. I was rooting for you! We were all rooting for you!"

While the blowup will go down in reality TV history as one of the most iconic moments of all time Tyra -- who is returning as head judge on the show for next year's season 24 -- says if it happened today, what goes to air might be a little different.

"A lot of the times, it's easy to go either way. It's easier to say, 'Oh my god, that was awful, I'm a victim,' or it's the other way around, 'I'm awful,' and you kinda blame yourself," Banks told BuzzFeed News. "I felt like [Richardson] took ownership of some of the things she could've done better, but at the same time said, 'That was some crazy shit.'"

So would her yelly brain snap end up on the cutting room floor? "Oh my god totally, I wouldn't have done it," Banks said. "Actually, maybe I wouldn't have aired it."

The new season of ANTM - which has no contestant age limit, for the first time in the show's history - will hit screens in January, 2018.
