Don't get us wrong — we FROTH a beauty hack.
We live for $0 brow-shaping alternatives, pain-free tricks for cleaning our makeup brushes, and celebrity-approved tips for maintaining our spenno dye jobs. But every now and then, someone goes and spoils it all by taking their beauty suggestions that little bit too far — like telling people to lather toothpaste on their boobs to make them bigger.
As spotted by Metro UK, a YouTuber who goes by Naturalbeauty556 is now majorly copping it for releasing a video titled 'Tighten Sagging Breast In Just 5 Days Using Toothpaste No Jokes'.
In the controversial vid, she recommends applying a rather large dollop of toothpaste, along with with plain flour, grated cucumber and an egg white, on your chest to firm your breasts and increase their size — we though people using toothpaste as a pregnancy test was whacked!
But as batshit as this vloggers claims are, we are still low-key wondering if a trick like this would actually work. Short answer? No.
Dermatologists have come out slamming the hack for its false, and potentially health-threatening, claims. Dematologist, Susan Bard, has called the video "preposterous". "None of the ingredients in these concoctions have the capacity to increase breast tissue or tighten loose skin," she told Allure.
She also warned that you could potentially run the risk of contracting contact dermatitis by using this combo of ingredients on your skin. Eek!
Christopher Inglefield, the medical director of London Bridge Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Clinic, told Metro UK that while your boobs "may end up smelling minty fresh, but it's highly unlikely there will be any growth".
So there it is, ladies. Keep that toothpaste where it belongs, on your pearly whites.
