'The Bachelor's' Rhiannon reveals that intruder Deanna is telling girls she's there to 'stir' trouble

The girls are on edge.

You would be completely excused for forgetting that last night's episode of The Bachelor had an elimination ceremony, given the shit-show that erupted moments before. The episode saw dramatic scenes as Tenille Favious ripped her mic and half her dress off, leaping in to the woods a la The Crucible after exhausting 'villain' Romy Poulier felt it was necessary to get intrusive in front of a group of champagne wielding women. What followed could only be described as Network 10's take on The Blair Witch Project and to be honest, it was so entertaining it hurt.

We caught up with recently chopped Rhiannon who shared her thoughts on everything from hot air balloon dates to newcomer Deanna's dark side.

Looking back, how would you describe your time on the show?
It was a cool experience and definitely an eye-opener for me to see how it all works behind the scenes. I see it on TV played out and I'm like "oh my gosh there's so much they're not showing!"

How does it feel to have a whole scene or hour of a date skewed into something that's three minutes? Is it hard to watch back?
Oh my God it's not even that, it's like a 12 hour day when you're on that date, it's a long day. You have time apart, but for me I literally got up at 1:30am for that hot air balloon [date]. You've got to understand, it's such a long day and so much happens. A whole segment of that date wasn't shown. So to watch back at snippets of the awkwardness, knowing there was so much more to the date, that was a bit disappointing.

It was a bit of an awkward date, right?
Oh my god it was awful to watch I was like, "Rhiannon, stop talking! Stop doing that!" But you know, I've got to laugh it off. But on the day, that couch scene we were probably sitting there for over an hour having all those questions back and forth, and of course they say one question and I was stumbling because it was quite a tough question, but they only showed that one out of all the good chats that we had.

I appreciated your honesty, I would rather you be like "do you want to kiss?" than just suck his neck off like Romy, so props to you…
You know what I wouldn't have asked if I thought he was going to say no, because I got a rose and I thought "this is it, this is my chance," and then, nup! [laughs].

Do you get the feeling that Nick is fairly disorganised or out of the picture when it comes to these dates? Do you think he gets a say when it comes to what you guys get to do?
I don't think he chooses to go for the types of dates, I think he just chooses what to do and goes with it.

So you stand by the hot air balloon? Do you think that's something Nick Cummins would want to do with a girl outside of the show…
Absolutely not! It's not a good first date like think about it like I'm in this basket and you don't know this person and it's dead silent and you're like "oh my God, why couldn't we have a water sport day?

Ha! Much more appropriate…how do you feel about the producer involvement? Is there a lot or are the girls good at riling up each other regardless?
It's a hard one, because I think there's a lot going without that extra element. There are enough girls in there to create enough sparks that you don't need another element. But of course if things happen off camera you do need to speak about them on camera or it's not going to make sense to anyone watching. I guess the girls in the limelight are always bringing that up and are going to cop that fact because they were the ones who were like "I'm not going to think about that then because it's been an issue in the house," you know?

Seeing the other one-on-one dates, were you offended? He was always so forward and even kissed most of the other girls.
It's a bit weird to be honest, but in saying that I respect the way he feels and that he didn't want to give me the wrong impression. He just stuck to how he was feeling.
More than most guys can say I guess. What was your honest and first impression of the Honey Badger? Were you a bit shocked on the first night?
There was a little rumour the day we actually left [for the show], and I was in the car and I was like "What is this? What's happening?" But then I YouTube'd him and I was like "you know what, he's meant to be funny and he's cute in a weird way." The humour for me and personality also means a lot, so I was open to it.

How did you perceive the intruders? Were they difficult to take in, did they settle in with the girls well?
I think it'll be really hard for them to come into like, the lion's den. We all bonded that day when we found out that day there were intruders, we all kind of stuck together. In saying that, Deanna in particular apparently had said a few times to the girls on the group date like "I'm here to stir up some trouble", and you don't see that, but she did say that. That's probably why Cat was on her high horse as well because she heard all of Deanna saying all of those things.

Were you shocked being cut before the three new girls? Was that hard?
It was a bit of a kick in the back, but in saying that I knew my time was limited. I knew if it wasn't going to be me that night it was going to be the next week, like I wasn't shocked at all.

Last night was an interesting episode, what were your thoughts on Tenille's breakdown? Do you feel it was justified?
I really like Tenille, I really like Romy so I'm giving you a non-biased opinion here. Basically a lot of the girls in that house were a little bit put off by Tenille just after her date and the way she has a thing about kissing and then describing her kiss in detail to all of us. So everyone was talking about it and Tenille behind her back, and Tenille had felt that bad vibe too, it was a build up for her plus she'd been away for such a long time and it's all just happening at once.
