This Instagram pose is about to take over your feed (if it hasn’t already)

'Giraffe pose' is EVERYWHERE.

Do you spend hours mindlessly scrolling through Instagram? We certainly do. (Not proud of it.) And during the course of our Insta-travels, we've seen trends come and go faster than Usain Bolt at the 2016 Olympic Games.

Last year, the 'bambi pose' reigned supreme. Earlier this year, the 'headache pose' went viral. (No disrespect to migraine sufferers — don't @ me.)

Now, influencers have settled on a new stance of choice: the 'giraffe pose'.

'Giraffe pose' was coined by Head of Fashion at Instagram, Eva Chen. The idea is to stand with one foot forward and the other behind, with the heel a little raised.

In her own words, Eva summed up the pose like this:

"Baby giraffe pose, explained: one foot forward, back foot slightly on tippy toes (like you're coming off a step! This is how I discovered it, thanks to the steps in front of the #igselfiemirror). Hold the phone at a straight on angle. Ignore wonky hair from being slept on. Done! #babygiraffepose."

And here she is with the visuals:

Now that we (read: Eva) have pointed it out, the 'giraffe pose' looks a little familiar — right? It's everywhere on Instagram.

Judging by the anecdotal evidence pictured above, this could be the most flattering stance yet. Long, lean legs, are just a 'giraffe pose' away.
