Uh-oh, do we sense trouble
in out of paradise?
Love Island Australia winners Grant Crapp and Tayla Damir might be back on Aussie soil, but it turns out they still have some lingering issues from their time on the reality TV show.
Namely, Grant's so-called 'secret girlfriend'.
In an interview with KIIS FM's Kyle and Jackie O, Tayla admitted she's not really over the revelation Grant was seeing someone before going on the show.
The 21-year-old model from Perth said Grant broke her trust by not telling her about his pre-show relationship earlier.
"[Dumping him] went though my mind, for sure, obviously finding that out was a big shock to the system and I was like, 'Well, do you really love me?'" she said.
"We are trying to work through this, it's obviously put a massive strain on our relationship. We're trying to rebuild the trust."
Tayla said she even contacted Grant's ex-gf to clear the air.
"I found out this information and I was like, 'Okay, I actually feel sorry for this girl,' and I thought I should reach out to her. She didn't want to talk to me, I totally understand that."
Grant confirmed he had called his ex from the airport because, "Tayla wanted to speak to her".
In an Instagram post after the show, Tayla wrote: "I've said from day one I would be true to myself and my emotions and that's exactly what I did during my interview today."
Speaking to Kyle and Jackie O, Grant said his girlfriend was fully aware he was going on the show and knew what that entailed.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan shortly after the show's finale, Grant claimed he had been completely transparent with Tayla about his relationship history.
"She [the woman I was seeing] was clear that we weren't anything serious. I came clean to Tayla. I told Tayla everything we're talking about now," he said at the time.
Seems like it might have been too little, too late, mate.
