Another day, another reality TV break-up. Following in the footsteps of Keira and Jarrod and Megan and Jake, we are now on our third reality show break-up of the week. This one comes in the form of wife-swappers Carly Bowyer and Troy Delmege from Married At First Sight Australia. Though the two weren't initially matched by 'experts', they chose to hook up after their reality TV marriages fell apart.

However, nine months into their relationship, Carly and Troy have chosen to go their separate ways.

The pair took to their respective Instagram accounts to announce the news, with Carly admitting she is "heartbroken" about ending things with her "best friend". Her full caption read as follows:

"It's with a heavy heart that I tell you that Troy and I have decided to part ways. 9 months ago, we threw ourselves head first into a relationship, that despite all odds, felt like it was destined to be. We fell in love and experienced some of the most real and amazing moments together that I will never forget.

"We wanted this more than anything and have fought for each other to the end so it's heartbreaking that we've had to make the incredibly difficult decision that our lives no longer align and we are unable to make this work.

"Troy, my darling, you are something special. You're my best friend and I will always be here for you. It's the end of this chapter but it's not goodbye."

Troy took more of a formal approach, using his post to address his fans before a simple note aimed at Carly saying, "I wish you all the happiness in the world". Here is his statement in full:

"Dear fans, it is with great sadness I want to let you know that Carly and I have decided to go our separate ways... I am so so sorry it hasn't worked out... This is a very painful situation... We've had an incredible 9 months together and it hurts to walk away from ... I knew way back when we met at the first dinner party that Carly was a special girl. She captured my heart in so many ways... She was my rock during the experiment and has been ever since... I'll treasure the memories forever... Carly, I wish you all the happiness in the world."

There are now no couples left from this season of Married At First Sight Australia, following multiple break-ups on the show and a string of splits that occurred after the cameras stopped rolling.
