By now, Married At First Sight has a pretty infamous track record of matching couples that never last. All the 'expertly matched' couples from the most recent season of the show have already called it quits, but now one of the wife-swap spin-off couples have also called it a day. Tracey Jewel and Sean Thomsen have broken up after around five months of dating.
The two hooked up after Tracey dumped her on-screen husband, Dean Wells, on national television, and before we could even wrap up that season of MAFS, Tracey had already hooked up with another groom, Sean Thomsen, and brought him along to the reunion episode.
The couple had big plans for Tracey to relocate to Melbourne to be with Sean, and potentially have their own spin-off show with fellow MAFS wife-swappers, Carly and Troy.
She went on to say that his work-life balance was a big roadblock for them, stating, "Because he's FIFO, he's not always here and with that lifestyle there's no stability. My core needs in a relationship are commitment, stability and security, and Sean can't give that to me."
Now it seems that rather than Tracey looking forward post-breakup, she's actually looking back — right back at her ex-husband Dean.
Despite the two having a tumultuous relationship on Married At First Sight, Tracey admits that she still thinks about Dean a lot and that a reunion isn't off the cards.
"I hear what he's up to — it's hard not to. I'm sure he'll be happy to hear about this break-up. I reckon he will [call me]," she explained to New Idea.
Honestly just RIP us for trying to keep up with MAFS.
