Nicki Minaj has taken to Twitter to share her disappointment after her newly debuted album Queen narrowly missed out on the lucrative #1 spot on the Billboard Top 100 charts — and she's somehow managed to involve Kylie's baby girl, Stormi Webster, in all the drama.
Nicki's album sold an impressive 185,000 units in the first week while Kylie Jenner's baby daddy, Travis Scott, sold 205,000 units — which is no easy feat in an era where piracy and streams reign supreme in the music industry. Nicki decided to call out Travis Scott and his baby mama on Twitter insinuating that Kylie's fame and followers were the real reason why Travis managed to sell so many records.
Four days ago Kylie Jenner posted a photo his tour poster for Astroworld with the caption, "me and storm ready for tour," adding links to tickets and merchandise — ultimately driving sales for Travis' new album.
With Kylie's impressive influence and bundle ticket sales, it looks like Scott's sales might have been seemingly inflated, and Nicki was not having a bar of it.
"I put my blood sweat & tears in writing a dope album only for Travis Scott to have Kylie Jenner post a tour pass telling ppl to come see her & Stormi. lol. Im actually laughing," she wrote.
Naturally Nicki's comments sent the Internet into a bit of a spin, with Tweets popping up left, right and centre about the whole debacle.
Continuing on with her tweets, Nicki Minaj claimed that she'd even spoke to Travis Scott himself about the fiasco, and that Billboard had agreed to change processing of sales and streams because of Kylie's post.
Kylie and Travis are yet to make an official comment.
