Yo, turns out your ‘Riverdale’ tweets actually influence the show’s plot

BRB: Logging back onto Twitter for the first time in 5 years.

Fact: Riverdale fans are as dedicated as they are opinionated. Everyone who watches the show has their own (strong) thoughts about:

1. Whether Bughead will last

2. Who’s hotter: KJ Apa or Cole Sprouse

3. And, until recently, who killed Jason Blossom

As always, Twitter has been one of the most popular venting grounds for fans throughout the season and it turns out your sassy gif game might actually have some real-world consequences.

HOW, you ask? Welp, makers of our fave high school ~dramah~ are here to give the people they want.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly Camila Mendes (Ronnie Lodge) says the crew look at Twitter all the time, and even used fans’ feedback to help them decide what happens in season 2:

“With things like Twitter, we can touch base and see what they like and what they don’t like,” says Camila. “So I think going into season 2 we really know what people are interested in. Now that we’ve put it out there in the world, we can expand on it and go darker and deeper.”

Um, think we ALL want the same thing: More topless scenes of KJ and Cole, amiright?!

Aside from informing us about just how important the tweets are, Camila also revealed that next season Archkins is gonna discover his bad boy side and holy hell our bodies READY.

Season 2 is “going to unpack so many things in terms of the relationships... because Archie’s going to be going through this really traumatic experience and Veronica’s going to have to be there to help with that burden,” Camila explains.

And by Ronnie, she also means Betty 'cause those gals both care a helluva lot about Arch.

“I like that there’ll be a new darkness to Archie,” says Camila. “I think it’s going to add a lot of edge to his character and some depth.”

KEEN.

Now, if you’ll excuse us, we have a lot of Tweeting to do.
