Barack Obama says these are the 3 questions you need to ask to find 'the one'

It seems the former leader of the free world gives pretty damn good love advice.

Apparently if Barack Obama didn't go into politics, he totally could have taken up a successful career in match making.

According to one of the former POTUS' top White House aides, the two-term President often managed to find time out of his busy schedule, y'know leading the free world and stuff, to give his staff great advice about their love lives. And, if you look at the way Barack looks at his own wife, Michelle Obama, the guy is onto something...

Dan Pfeiffer, who served as Obama's communications director, has written in his new book, Yes We (Still) Can about his last day working for the president back in 2015. Dan recalls a conversation with himself and the then-commander-in-chief about his own future plans, which included some seminal chit-chat about Pfeiffer's then-girlfriend, Howli Ledbetter.

According to the recount of that convo, this is how Barack broke down finding THE ONE into three simple questions...

Dan Pfeiffer and his former boss/match maker, Barack Obama step off Air Force One.

Are they interesting?

"Is she someone you find interesting?" Pfeiffer recalls POTUS 44 asking him. Explaining that matters because, "you will spend more time with this person than anyone else for the rest of your life, and there is nothing more important than always wanting to hear what she has to say about things."

Are they funny?

"Does she make you laugh?" Obama asked. Humour is obviously important to the former president and Michelle because the pair can often be seen giggling together, no doubt telling private dad jokes we all wish we were in on...

Will they be a good parent?

Thinking about the future is obviously a good quality in a world leader, but it turns out, thinking ahead is also something you need to factor into your love life too.

Pfeiffer recalls Obama asking him if he had considered what his life with children would look like.

"I don't know if you want kids, but if you do, do you think she will be a good mum?" Obama said.

"Life is long," the president continued. "These are the things that really matter over the long term."

Ahhhhhhh!!! Such good love advice that has absolutely nothing to do with grabbing a woman by the pussy!!!!!

As for Barack and Michelle's marriage, the former first couple celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary in October, 2017.

While Michelle marked the milestone with a sweet throwback pic, Barack surprised her with a gushy video message whilst she was giving a speech at a women's conference in Philadelphia.

According to those who were there, the former first lady had tears in her eyes as her husband praised her "strength, grace, determination and honesty."

"Not only have you been an extraordinary partner," Obama told his wife, "Not only have you been a great friend, somebody who could always make me laugh, somebody who would always make sure that I was following what I thought was right, but you have also been an example to our daughters and to the entire country."

Nawwwwwwwwwwwwwwww... We will now accept nothing less than this kind of love!!!!

But wait... Did Dan marry his lady?!

In response to the questions from the president, Pfeiffer says he told his boss, "Howli is incredibly interesting and funnier than I am, and will be a phenomenal mum."

"Sounds like she's the one. Lucky you," Obama told him. Dan and Howli got married a year later.

Pfeiffer writes in his book that in 2016, he went to four weddings of couples who met while working at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, one of which was his own.

He notes, "Obama was always very proud of the hundreds of relationships that had sprung from his campaigns and his administration."
