With Spring fast-approaching, you're probs craving brighter, warmer days filled with rosé and beach hangs. But research suggests the new season comes with an unexpected catch (which kinda sh*ts over your summer lovin' plans).
British journalist and author of The Visual Miscellaneum, David McCandless, conducted an online study to track Facebook relationship trends throughout the year.
By analysing status updates over a 12-month period, McCandless found there are two times of year that are significantly more popular for relationship splits.

First up is the savage festive season dump, with a spike in breakups found in the weeks before Christmas.
Perhaps the pressure to find the perfect present, or the prospect of spending ~quality time~ with bae's family, can be make or break after all...
But more than Christmas, the study found that the most popular time of year to call it quits is just before Spring (i.e. right NOW).
One possible explanation is that when people start to Spring Clean their homes, they also start decluttering their life by deciding who to keep and who to chuck.
Harsh but (apparently) true.
