Don't expect Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to rock up to next year's Mardi Gras celebrations; cos his party planner is booked out!
Well, that's what he claims, anyway.
After years of attending Sydney's Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras (and being the FIRST ever PM to make an appearance at the parade), Malcolm Turnbull has officially been uninvited after the Government's refusal to hold a parliamentary vote on marriage equality.
But as it turns out, Mr Prime Minister couldn't actually go to begin with, because he just had SO many other gay parties to attend that night.
During a segment on Sky's Viewpoint, the following conversation went down when host Chris Kenny said, "The un-invitation you’ve received to the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. Is that a personal and partisan insult?"
Turnbull's sassy response? "Well, you know, I’ve had so many invitations from friends to go to their Mardi Gras parties that if Lucy and I do decide to go to the Mardi Gras next year, we’ll have no shortage of opportunities and cheerful company to enjoy it with."
Well damn, doncha hate it when that happens?!
