Your first look at Ali Oetjen as 'The Bachelorette Australia' is here and it's truly bizarre

She's singing. Help.

It's not exaggerating to say that Bachie alum Ali Oetjen was a controversial choice to star in 2018's season of The Bachelorette when it was first announced, but we all seem to have gotten used to the concept in the ensuing months.

However, just when we'd started to wrap our heads around the notion of two nights of Ali-centric TV a week, the first-look trailer for the season arrived and made us feel all confused.

You see, Ali's debut as the Bachelorette actually involves her SINGING. And dancing. Surrounded by men in suits. It's a vibe.

Look, we don't hate it. It's very clearly inspired by Marilyn Monroe's iconic Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend performance and we're not mad about it.

Ali and Marilyn are both blonde and ... um ... yeah, that's about it in terms of similarities.

Also, if that's Ali's actual singing voice, girl's got some serious PIPES.

It's worth nothing that Osher also features, wearing a white tuxedo jacket and promising Ali he will help "weed out the Mr Wrongs". Onya, Osh.

We still don't have an air date for this glorious mess yet, but you an bet your bottom dollar we're not far off, given The Bachelor finale is nearing.
