These pimple patches WORK.

By Erin Cook

Recently, Riverdale actress Lili Reinhart spoke to Refinery 29 about her skin. Despite being an IRL Hollywood actress, Lili’s skin is prone to breakouts — especially if she’s stressed or travelling.

While the fact that Lili gets pimples from time to time isn’t newsworthy, her method of getting rid of them is — Lili is a big fan of acne dots. “My skin breaks out when I travel,” she told Refinery 29. “I had seven blemish dots on my face last night on the airplane. They're the best.”

Now, we don’t like to exaggerate (LOL, JKS!) but if you suffer from acne, these invisible dots will change your life.

Here, the 411 on these pimple stickers, including: the best acne dots, what they do and where to buy them:

What are acne dots?

These acne dots also go by the moniker of acne patches, pimple stickers, acne spot dots and pimple patches.

There are two types of acne dots: those containing active ingredients and those that treat pimples like a wound.

The former variety is the most common, particularly in Korea. These medicated patches deliver a hefty dose of actives, including salicylic acid, and antibacterial ingredients straight to the pimple.

The second type of patch — i.e. the wound healers — work my creating a barrier between your big ol’ zit and your fingers. These acne dots act like a dressing, drawing the pus (sorry) to the surface. Keeping the pimple moist (so sorry) can also speed up the healing time.
