Candice Swanepoel is a bit of a big deal. The 29-year-old supermodel has modelled for almost every fashion house we can think of (Fendi, Chanel, Tommy Hilfiger, Dolce and Gabbana, the list goes on…) but she’s most recognisable for her role as a Victoria’s Secret model.
Here, Cosmo talks exclusively to the VS model, (Candice is also the face of the new Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Glace Eau De Parfum) about her favourite beauty products, how she keeps that ah-mazing bod of hers, and why she likes to stay fragrance loyal:
On her morning skincare routine
“I do a cleanse, tone, serum, moisturise and use an eye cream in the morning. Then I’ll exfoliate twice a week. I also use sunscreen every day, whether it’s sunny or not.
I like a foaming cleanser because I have quite oily skin. I really like to feel like I’m getting all the dirt off. I have one that I get from Wholefoods that’s green tea based, it’s super natural.”
Her go-to base
“I like to mix a little bit of foundation (I like to use Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, $99 at Sephora), with sunscreen or my moisturiser so it’s less coverage. I like to see the skin, and then on areas with redness, I’ll use the RMS Beauty Un Cover-Up concealer, $52 at Mecca.”
The products she uses on a long haul flight
“I’ll use a rose water spray and clean my skin and hydrate it. I love an overnight mask, or a rich cream, and I’ll apply an eye cream.”
Fragrances she gravitates towards
“I tend to gravitate towards floral scents so Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Glace, $110 at David Jones is really good for me because it has the notes that I love like jasmine. It also has some fruity notes like frozen mandarin, frosted pear. It’s definitely my new favourite.”
How she keeps her body looking RIDIC
“Getting a good [professional] scrub is a good thing to do every couple of months to get rid of all the dead skin. I also love body brushing to get the circulation going. And body oils! If I have time after a shower I love to oil everything up. I used Bio Oil, $12.99 at Chemist Warehouse, coco butter and coconut oil.”
On her exercise of choice
“Yoga is definitely my go to because I can meditate and get into a calm headspace as well.”
