How to tame unruly eyebrows

With brows that rival Groucho Marx's, I know a thing or two about unruly, curly eyebrow hairs. Which is exactly why I'm ridiculously obsessed with brow gel – I'd eat the stuff if it meant my hairs would grow straight.

Fix thin brows

It keeps my spiralling hairs and the overall shape set in place during workouts, long haul flights and even festivals.

Not only do I use it for hair hazards like mosh pits, but I also use it on a daily basis, which means I go through bottles faster than Kylie Jenner goes through hair colours. Unfortunately, this means I'm often running out.

But next time you reach the end of your tube, fear not, because you don't have to sacrifice polished eyebrows until your next brow gel purchase.

If you rummage around in your bathroom, you'll probably find a new toothbrush and some hairspray – and that's literally all you need to tame those puppies.

Start by filling your eyebrows in if they're gappy. Then, spritz hair spray onto that toothbrush (preferably a soft-bristled brush if you've got one, but beggars can't be choosers).

Lastly, create definition by brushing the hair spray through your eyebrows while the bristles are still wet in the direction you want them to hold.

Now, take a step back from the mirror to admire your DIY defined eyebrows and resist the urge to take a selfie. #BrowGoals
