How-to: Diane von Furstenberg’s NYFW runway look

There's been an overwhelmingly HUGE amount of gorgeous spring/summer hair and makeup on the NYFW runways (we've got enough inspo for months).

But nothing got us quite as excited as the stunning Studio 54-inspired look at Diane Von Furstenberg's show. The whole thing was dreamy.

So we created a how-to which takes this look from international catwalk to erryday sidewalk.

And you're gonna wanna wear it.

The hair:

Step 1: Apply gel to damp hair and blow dry.

Step 2: Section half of hair up, brush and then curl.

At the DVF show, Hair Stylist Orlando Pita actually created mini buns all around the head to get those waves, but IRL, we don't always have time for that. Hence, the magic wand.

Step 3: Let your hair down gradually, brush and curl.

Step 4: When you get to your top layer, pin each curl to your scalp and leave them to cool.

TIP: It's cooling that helps the curl set (which means it will last well into the night).

Step 5: Release your curls, brush them out and set with hair spray.

Step 6: Add a floral headband.

The eyes:

Step 1: Once you’ve applied your base to your face, dot concealer across eyelids and blend.

TIP: Dust loose translucent powder across your eyelids to help set it.

Step 2: Draw blue pencil into your eye socket crease and the outer edge of your eye.

TIP: It doesn't matter if you're messy because your blending brush strokes will fix that.

Step 3: Blend inwards.

Step 4: Glide a shimmery, blue eye mousse along the mid-section of your eyelid and blend.

TIP: Use your ring finger to blend the shadow as it's the most gentle and you don't want to drag your skin all over the place (which can lead to fine lines).

Step 5: Blend the deeper blue pencil with the shimmery mousse more if you need too.

Step 6: Run a turquoise eyeliner along your bottom lashes and blend.

TIP: You can use turquoise, teal, green or even a lighter blue - whatever tickles your fancy.

Step 7: Use a highlighting pencil on the inner corners of your eyes and blend into the blue mousse as this helps graduate the colour from lighter to darker as your move outwards across your eyelid.

Step 8: Dab a pearly illuminator on the inner corner of your eye to brighten up the area.

Step 9: Apply mascara.

Step 10: Add more colour to bottom lashes if you want extra pop.

The lips:

TIP: Before you apply lipstick, exfoliate your lips with a wet toothbrush to gently remove any dry dead skin (otherwise your lips will have a rough texture and your lipstick will look equally rough and messy).

Step 1: Glide a ballet pink lipstick onto your lips.

Step 2: Add a gloss.
