Jessica Alba has something to say to customers complaining about The Honest Company’s sunscreen

Slip, slop, awkward.

Jess Alba has posted a heartfelt post onto her personal Instagram in response to the backlash against her company’s sunscreen. It was a cute pic of Jess with her daughters Honor and Haven at the beach, along with a comment saying:

"Protecting our loved ones and yours is the reason we founded @honest. As parents, it pains us to hear that anyone has had a negative experience with our Sunscreen. We develop and use Honest Sunscreen to protect our own children – Honor, Haven, Luke, Evie, and Poppy – at the park, in the pool, outside, every day. As with everything we do, we take sun protection seriously here at Honest."

She directed followers to a blog post on her company’s website, where she explained the process that went into developing the sunscreen and that it went through “extensive third-party testing in accordance with government regulations and our Sunscreen Lotion passed all SPF 30 testing requirements.”

It sounds like they’ve been doing a lot of damage control in the way of calling people who have complained and posted things on social media. There’s no doubt this will all blow over soon, but it may take a little while to rebuild that trust.
