Supermodel Joan Smalls uses ~what~ to contour her face!?

Those cheekbones won’t be getting burnt anytime soon.

Let's be honest, we've seen some pretty weird beauty hacks in our time. From soaking dry skin in oatmeal, using a tooth brush for blending foundation and even using nipple cream as a lip balm (yep, you read that right).

Now, supermodel Joan Smalls has added another weird, yet wonderful hack to the list: using sunscreen as a contour.

DW guys, we're scratching our heads trying to work this one out as well.

Lucky for us, Smalls explained the hack recently to US Weekly, saying most sunscreens have a sheeny gloss to them, so they actually act as a decent highlighter.

Obviously, this hack will keep your skin looking nice by protecting it from harmful UV rays. But as Joan explained, there are other long-term benefits too. "It makes the skin lighter because you're not tanning as much there," she said. Basically, over time, sunscreen creates a semi-permanent contour effect. Genius.

Let's be real though, Joan could wear straight up dirt on her face and still look like a goddess. We'll be practising this one with caution — and with at least SPF 50, obvs.
