Strobing, the old act of using an illuminator on the high points of your face to enhance them, is really the exact opposite of contouring. Instead of adding shadows to your face to contour, strobing aims to emphasise light and Khloé Kardashian’s cheekbones are the ultimate example. In fact, she’s just as addicted to the makeup trick as us.
"There's nothing that makes me feel sexier than a swipe of highlighter on my cheeks. Makes me feel like I could cut a bit*h with my cheekbones,” Khloe wrote on her website.
So how does Koko give her bone structure a sparkling, sculpted edge? Well, she’s got these highlighting products on speed dial.
For starters, she’s obsessed with the Anastasia Contour Cream Palette, "This is the WHOLE kit and caboodle. Contour and highlight in one!"
Her liquid go-to, Benefit High Beam, happens to be ours as well <3.
In terms of a powder, she carries the Anastasia Illuminator in Starlight with her “everywhere”, but she also has a soft spot for the Becca Highlighter in Champagne Pop.
Khloé recommends using a fan brush for pressing highlighter into the cheeks and a smaller brush for the cupid’s bow and brow bone. If you’re already a pro with creams and liquids, Khloé recommends blending them with the Ambient Strobe Light Sculptor.
Damn she's a bright young shiny thing.
