Just when you thought the biggest drama with Kim Kardashian West starting a beauty brand would be her competing with younger sister Kylie Jenner the reality TV mogul gets accused of blackface in an ad for KKW Beauty.
Kim, who is just about to drop her first cosmetic product (FYI: a contour and highlight kit), has been called out by some who accuse the 36-year-old of darkening her skin to appear black in her promo pictures.
While it could just be lighting or unintentionally strange editing Twitter people are not feeling KK’s latest look:
Kim has not responded to the claims of cultural insensitivity and the image remains on her Instagram.
Of course, since the whole Pepsi protest ad debacle involving Kendall Jenner, you'd think the Kardashian klan would be overly sensitive to these matters, but Kim's blackface accusations follow a string of race-related incidents for their family in recent months.
Earlier this month Kim's sister Kylie Jenner was in hot water about claims of appropriation.
It seems many were not happy with Ky-dizzle getting credit for the camo bikini trend once made famous by Destiny's Child.
Khloe Kardashian was also accused this month of "appropriating designs and fashion directly from a black woman with a small business" from designer Destiny Bleu for her Good American clothing line. Khloe denies the claims and sent a cease and desist letter to the designer.
