A confronting number of women have injured their vagina while shaving/waxing/trimming

Are you one of them?

Depending on your preference, there are a lot of things you can do with your pubic hair. For starters, you can leave it as is. (Easy – done!) If having a bush isn’t your thing, you could get a Brazilian, give it a bit of a trim or shave it all off.

As one study found out, 24% of men and 27% of women have injured themselves while trying to groom their nether regions.

The study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, based their research off a group of American men and women, aged from 18 to 64. Overall, the found that 64% of men engaged in some form of grooming, compared to 85% of women.

So, ah, what kind of injuries are we talking? Here’s a handy breakdown:
Injuries from cuts: 61%
Burns from hair-removal creams: 23%
Miscellaneous: 16%

As to where the injuries occur, it differs slightly, depending on whether you’re a man or a woman. Men need to take extra caution when they’re shaving their balls, because most of the study participants reported injuries to their scrotum. Women, on the other hand, are more likely to injure the area around their pelvis.
