In case you missed it, a little fashion show went down in China on Monday — it’s called the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2017 and it’s a bit of a big deal. (Oh, you’ve heard of it? Right! ‘Course you have! Moving on…)
This year, the Victoria’s Secret show was bigger than ever. There was next level lingerie, incredibly ripped supermodels and more beachy waves than our brains can comprehend.
Here, we break down the exact products used to create the 2017 Victoria’s Secret runway looks:
With 55 models hailing from over 20 countries, this was the most diverse line-up of women to date. As lead makeup artist Tom Pecheux explained to PopSugar, the backstage teams made a decision to embrace each model’s unique look. “We have 55 girls with different skin tones and different complexions so we want to make the best of it,” Pecheux said. “We don't want the Victoria's Secret girls to look identical. They have been specifically chosen because of their unique beauty so we want to keep that. We don't want soldiers.”
Stylists used L'Oreal Professionnel Tecni Art Pli Styling Spray, $20.75 at All Beauty to prep hair. Then, they reached for a ghd Curve Classic Curl Iron, $230 at RY.com.au, curling random sections of hair in alternating directions.
Onto the lips! As expected, models wore Victoria's Secret Velvet Matte Lipstick, $11.50, in varying shades of nude.
Pecheux used the Adored shade on all models as a primer: “Velvet Lip Matte Cream Lip Stain in 'Adored' is the perfect base for lips; simply dab onto the lips to enhance a pink natural lip colour.” For some models, Adored was the perfect shade, but for most, he then blended it with another varying shade of pink-y nude.
The scent of the Victoria’s Secret class of 2017 is — drumroll pls — the Victoria's Secret Bombshell eau de Parfum Shanghai 2017 Edition. Shocking, we know. Apparently, it smells fruity as hell with notes of citrus, passion fruit, Shangri-la peony from Tibet and Madagascan vanilla orchid.
ICYMI models wearing pink outfits walked down the runway wearing a sheer pearl nail colour. Specifically, LeChat Dare to Wear Pisco Sour. The rest of the Victoria’s Secret amazons wore LeChat Dare To Wear Pink Ribbon.
For the eyes, it was a grown up smokey eye. “The overall look featured a smoky eye that’s slightly ‘naughty,’” Pecheux told Hollywood Life. “Taupe and brown shades were applied with a smudged brown liner on the lower lashline that was swept up and blended into eye shadow. Highlighter was added to the inner corner of the eye for a sexy, glowing effect.”
