Waxing can lead to STIs

Now, “Its winter” isn’t the only excuse you can use to ditch your waxing routine.

People have been raving for ages about the end of waxing your lady region, and here’s another reason why you should embrace the ‘bush’ - apparently waxing increases your chance of contracting STIs!

The process of waxing causes ‘micro-traumas’ to the skin and creates ‘deficits in the mucocutaneous barrier’ (that’s what protects you from bacteria and bugs), says a study in the JAMA Dermatology medical journal.

“In the United States, women are more likely to groom for reasons that are sexually driven and are more likely to stop grooming when lacking a current sexual partner,” the study says.

“Further, pubic hair removal is significantly associated with a greater interest in sex and having a casual sex partner.”

So basically you should stop worry about waxing yourself raw in the hope of getting some, and just let it grow free and make him deal with it.
