We're constantly told at our eyebrow salon that our eyebrows aren't supposed to be identical. While we thought it was just our therapist making us feel better about having uneven arches, it turns out there's an actual scientific reason for it.
According to brow expert, Tonya Crookes, (who has tamed the hairs in Megan Fox and Eva Mendes' eyebrows), "each brow has different muscle movement", meaning they can grow completely differently, depending on which side you sleep on.
Apparently, while the side of your face that you're sleeping on is getting smooshed into a pillow, it's also simultaneously weakening the muscle movements of that eyebrow.
If you're also like me and you're constantly raising one eyebrow, the muscles in that side of your face will be stronger, and therefore it's likely that eyebrow will appear more lifted.
So there you go.
Don't stress about your eyebrows not being a mirror image of each other though, you can always fill them in to help balance them out a little more.
They might not look like twins in the end, but they're still unique to you and totally flawless.
