We may not know exactly what’s happening with Alex Nation’s love life – there were reports that she and Richie Strahan, the man she fell in love with on The Bachelor last year, had possibly split, because they hadn’t been seen together in yonks – but when it comes to her professional life, it seems she’s in a pretty good place.
Alex just shared the exciting news that she’s going to be a… radio star!
“So, I’ve been bursting at the seems and finally, I can announce some exciting news!!” Alex wrote on Instagram. “Introducing @jayfozandalex. I’ll be driving you out every Friday night from 6-8pm on @southern_fm with these two absolute legends! I am so thankful for this opportunity and to work alongside @luke_forrest & @bayjruno producing some serious banter and 10/10 laughs from Foz and I because well Jay is only there for his good looks! So tune in awesome humans or else you might just find yourself ON THE LIST!!”
She failed to specify exactly what being ‘ON THE LIST’ means. But the way she’s said it, it’s gotta be a bad thing, because if you don’t listen to the show, you’re ON THE LIST… right?
Alex has actually worked with Southern FM, a local community radio station in Melbourne, before, and even her six-year-old son Elijah has accompanied her to the studio.
Alex’s radio move means she’s officially following in the footsteps of another The Bachelor star, Sam Frost. Sam and her co-host Rove McManus were the breakfast duo for Sydney’s 2Day FM in 2016, but at the end of the year were bumped to a one-hour evening timeslot. Sam will soon return to TV as one of the stars on Channel Seven’s Hell’s Kitchen Australia.
Anyway, exciting times for Alex! Richie hasn’t posted anything on social media about her new gig… yet.
