He took the high road.

Ariana Grande's ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, has finally broken his silence on her shotgun engagement to Pete Davidson less than two months after he and Ari broke up.

The rapper spoke to Beats 1 on Apple Radio about his two-year relationship with Ari, which only ended in early May 2018. Ari and Pete got engaged in early June.

But Mac has nothing but love for his former flame.

"It's all positive energy. I am happy for her and [the fact that she's] moving forward with her life, just as I'm sure she is with me."

It's the first time Mac has commented on Ari's new relationship, aside from releasing a series of songs with very clear references to his ex.

When the pair announced their split, Ari took to Instagram with an incredibly moving message about Mac.

"Hi! This is one of my best friends in the whole world and favorite people on the planet Malcolm McCormick," she wrote.

"I respect and adore him endlessly and am grateful to have him in my life in any form, at all times regardless of how our relationship changes or what the universe holds for each of us!"

"Unconditional love is not selfish. It is wanting the best for that person even if at the moment, it's not you. I can't wait to know you and support you forever and I'm so proud of you!!"

Mac's latest comment came as Pete deleted every single post on his Instagram account, apparently in response to some hate from Ari's fans.

"No nothing happened. No there's nothing cryptic about anything. I just don't wanna be on Instagram anymore. The internet is an evil place and it doesn't make me feel good," Pete wrote.
