Bella Hadid has been forced to respond to Instagram critics labelling her "too thin" ahead of her third appearance at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

The model, who has been training for hours a day ahead of the lingerie show, shared a series of photos from her fittings to Instagram that featured her clad in a black underwear set and knee-high python boots.

While the photo amassed more than 1.6 million likes on Instagram, it also attracted plenty of negative comments about the 22-year-old's weight.

While her original caption made no mention of her body, Hadid respond to comments telling her to "eat something" by adding an aside to her post in brackets.

"@victoriassecret fittings today. i can't wait for you to see all of the beautiful outfits ...i'm so grateful to be a part of the show again, feeling happier and healthier than ever," Hadid wrote.

She then added: "(all body types are different and react differently to a great workout routine and a healthy diet)."

The November 8, 2018, show will be Hadid's third outing for Victoria's Secret. She made her debut walking for the brand in 2016 and was cast in the show again last year.
