Following Gigi Hadid's breakup with her boyfriend of two-plus years, Zayn Malik her sister Bella Hadid has drawn a clear line in the sand regarding whose side she's on by unfollowing Zayn from Instagram.
On Tuesday (March 13) Gigi and Zayn confirmed their split with separate Twitter statements where the pair stressed they remained close.
"I'm forever grateful for the love, time, and life lessons that Z and I shared," Gigi wrote. "I want nothing but the best for him and will continue to support him as a friend that I have immense respect and love for. As for the future, whatever's meant to be will always be."
Zayn also to to Twitter to address the split and wrote, "Gigi and I had an incredibly meaningful, loving and fun relationship, and I have a huge amount of respect and adoration for Gigi as a woman and a friend," Malik added, "She has such an incredible soul. I'm grateful to all of our fans for respecting this difficult decision and our privacy at the time, we wish this news could have come from us first. We love you all. xZ"
Zayn and Gigi hadn't been spotted on each other's social media in over two months and fans had noticed that Zayn had unfollowed Bella weeks ago. Once the breakup news was official Bella also hit the unfollow button.
Bella also shared a snap of herself on Instagram on March 13 with the caption, "I'll be Right here", which some took as a dig at Zayn because the wording is somewhat a reference to his Dusk Till Dawn lyric, "Baby I'm right here/I'll hold you when things go wrong". That's a stretch, but okay, sure.
Obviously Yolanda taught her girls blood is thicker than water.
