Blake Lively was bullied at school for the craziest reason

Look who’s laughing now.

Blake Lively

Fact: Blake Lively is one of the most beautiful, popular and successful actresses in Hollywood. (She is also low-key hilarious when you see her interact with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, on social media.) So it's hard to believe that some of the things she's best known for were reasons she was bullied as a kid in school.

Blake took to Instagram to share her excitement at meeting Big Bird, and revealed that she was actually called 'Big Bird' as a cruel nickname when she was younger.

"Still geeking out," she wrote to accompany a photo of herself with the iconic Sesame Street character. "Kids used to make fun of me in elementary school by calling me Big Bird (because I was 'too tall' and had 'yellow' hair). Here's to making best buddies with the things that once hurt you."

If only the school kids knew that being "too tall" and having "yellow hair" would help launch Blake into one of the most famous people on the planet!

And now that she is famous, Blake is using her profile to let young girls know that they shouldn't get swept up by Hollywood's body standards. When she interviewed Gigi Hadid for Harper's BAZAAR US, the girls talked about how their relationships with their bodies have changed over the years, and Blake had this important reminder for readers: "It's so important for young people not to compare themselves with what they see online. It's our job as actors and/or models to be in shape. We have access to gyms and trainers and healthy food.

"And then on top of that, 99.9 per cent of the time the images are Photoshopped. I'm guilty myself of being at a photo shoot and saying, 'That looks terrible on me.' And they're like, 'We'll fix it.' And you're so relieved."

Gigi added, "It's my experience that your body will grow and change, and there's always beauty in it, no matter what."
