The genius who taught your man how to wear jeans like a 10/10 has a few thoughts on the recently announced Queer Eye For The Straight Guy reboot.
Netflix made the exciting announcement in January and is set to bring us eight episodes of the former series, with production beginning in a few months.
The reboot, however, WON'T feature the original Fab 5, who tbh, were so iconic, it hurts.
TMZ have since gotten in touch with Carson, the Fab 5's OG leader, who spilled
the tea his thoughts on the reboot.
"The producers actually called me before the story broke and were like, 'Hey we wanna let you know, we're redoing the show with a new dynamic cast', and I was like [disappointed noise]'."
"I think they want a young new cast, which I totally get, and they always do this when reboot shows, but I'm like, 'I'm not Mickey Rooney! I'm still alive and kicking, I can still do it!'"
That's the damn truth.
Carson added that "there's really never a way to recreate that same magic," but insisted that he wishes nothing but the best for the new squad.
"Wouldn't it be great to 'gay it forward' and have somebody else get that amazing experience? And make their career and change their life and have the time of their life? So I wish nothing but good for the new team."
Gay it forward - make that your slogan for 2017 ASAP.
So far, Carson's the only member of the original cast to comment on the reboot. We wonder how the others feel... ?
