Mardi Gras CEO, Terese Casu, says Cher is the perfect fit for the event: "Cher has established herself as an influential, hard-hitting voice in global politics, and throughout her career has been at the forefront of LGBTQI campaigns and numerous charities. Cher represents the same unapologetic and fearless freedom that makes the LGBTQI community so enduring and strong — positioning herself as a true gay icon."
Along with the opportunity to see Cher perform live, the multi-venue, multi-sensory party will include a legendary lineup of your fav Aussie and international DJs and artists from the past 40 years, including DJ Alex Taylor, DJ Kate Monroe and Yo! Mafia.
The 'Believe' singer's performance is set to light up the biggest LGBTIQ party in the southern hemisphere, making it the most extra (and we legit didn't think Mardi Gras could get any extra) Mardi Gras yet!
Cher will be featured in the official 2018 Mardi Gras Parade television broadcast on SBS on Sunday 4th March. The full Live Stream will be available Saturday 3rd March at 7pm on SBS on Demand.
