Why Chinese people are flooding Gigi Hadid's Instagram telling her not to come to China

She's in the bad books.

Gigi Hadid’s fans were stoked following the announcement she’d once again be struttin’ her stuff down the runway for the 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which is set to be held in Shanghai later this year.

Some Chinese locals, however, were furious with the news that she’d be paying a visit to their country, remembering a video from earlier this year which shows the blonde babe and sis Bella Hadid squinting her eyes and mocking a Buddha statue.

When the news dropped that she’d be heading to China for the prestigious show, several Chinese people bombarded G’s Instagram, telling her she’s not welcome in their country.

And while she’s since disabled comments on her vid in which she announces she’ll be walking in the VS show, that hasn’t stopped the haters from inundating her with chicken and snake emojis (apparently the chicken has a similar meaning to snake in China).

No word from Gigi’s camp on all the ~drams~.
