This is just too perfect.

Goldie Hawn will play Amy Schumer's mum in new movie

If anyone could convince Goldie Hawn to make a movie again after 14 years away from the screen, it’s Amy Schumer.

The comedian has cast Goldie – you know, Kate Hudson’s mum – to play her character’s mother in an as-yet untitled production Schumer is working on.

Goldie, whose last film was The Banger Sisters in 2002, but has starred in countless classic flicks like The First Wives Club and Bird On A Wire, told The Hollywood Reporter she couldn’t turn down the offer.

"I’m not doing this to reestablish a career. I didn't go out [looking for a role], it came to me. I was happy not to be in the makeup trailer. But it got to a point when I thought, 'Gee, you know, it might be fun to make people laugh again'".

All she would say about the project is that it’s going to be "really funny" and the pair are going to "have a blast".

If it’s anything like Amy’s debut film Trainwreck, we’re in for a treat – and a LOL fest.
