Justin Bieber got ridiculously candid about Hailey Baldwin and we don’t know if we should feel bad for him or not

“What if Hailey ends up being the girl I'm gonna marry, right? If I rush into anything, if I damage her, then it's always gonna be damaged.”

Justin Bieber has come a long way in the space of a year, making Beliebers of us all. He no longer urinates in public, eggs his neighbour’s house or visits brothels (as far as we’re aware).

But if we were under any illusion he was saying ‘Sorry’ to any of us lot in his banger of a tune (we weren’t), he’s confirmed he wasn’t.

In an interview with GQ, Justin said the following: "People ran with that—that I was, like, apologising with the song [‘Sorry’] and stuff. It really had nothing to do with that...no. It was about a girl." Sidenote: he confirmed it was about Selena Gomez to Ellen DeGeneres.

And on the topic of Selena, he said: "We don't talk often, but we're cordial. If she needs something, I'm there for her. If I need something, she's there for me."

We digress. Back to the whole ‘being sorry’ thing, Justin explains: "Everyone, when they start growing up, realises, 'Man, I did some dumb shit when I was younger.' It's not just me.… If I could go back, I wouldn't really change much. I think it's all my journey. That stuff made me who I am."

And what of Justin’s burgeoning romance with Hailey Baldwin? She's "someone I really love. We spend a lot of time together.") he also said this and we don’t know whether to feel sorry for him or now? It's a recurring theme...

"I don't want to put anyone in a position where they feel like I'm only theirs, only to be hurt in the end. Right now in my life, I don't want to be held down by anything. I already have a lot that I have to commit to. A lot of responsibilities. I don't want to feel like the girl I love is an added responsibility. I know that in the past I've hurt people and said things that I didn't mean to make them happy in the moment. So now I'm just more so looking at the future, making sure I'm not damaging them. What if Hailey ends up being the girl I'm gonna marry, right? If I rush into anything, if I damage her, then it's always gonna be damaged. It's really hard to fix wounds like that. It's so hard.… I just don't want to hurt her."

So he doesn’t want to be tied down? But he loves Hailey? We’re confused. We're sorry?
