Kanye West just went full Kanye West and deleted his social media accounts

The move has fans wondering what's up with Yeezy and Kim?

Kanye West seems to be at pains to keep a low profile lately but the rapper’s latest move of deleting his social media accounts has garnered nothing but attention from his curious fans.

People began to notice on Friday that searches for @KanyeWest on either Twitter or Instagram appeared to be coming up with broken links ¯_(ツ)_/¯.

No word yet on the reason for Yeezy’s radio silence but the Life of Pablo singer could be taking a leaf out of his wife, Kim Kardashian West’s book and stepping back from the public following a particularly rough year.

Kim took an extended break from social media after she was held up at gunpoint in Paris last year and recent Keeping Up with the Kardashians episodes have highlighted just how much the 36-year-old mother-of-two and husband and family struggled through the drama. A few months after the burglary eccentric Kanye, 39, was hospitalised for a week with reps citing mental exhaustion.

This week, the designer’s no show at the Met Gala in New York did raise a few eyebrows with people asking Kim about her husband’s current state of health.

The reality star told reporters her solo appearance was nothing to worry about.

"He's at home," a Vivienne Westwood-clad Kim told Vogue on the red carpet. "He's been taking some time off and really loving that."

But while Kim says all is good, one thing that makes Kanye’s disappearance particularly suspicious is how Yeezy killed his social media accounts on the day he and Kim’s new children’s clothing line went live on TheKidsSupply.com.
